Hi, I am Gary Miller, Owner and Manager of Garden Ridge Storage.
I moved into the community of Garden Ridge in 1970 and have resided
here ever since. I followed in the footsteps of my father and was a custom home builder from
the 1970’s till 2012, when I retired. 85% of my livelihood in construction was in the community of Garden Ridge. In 1989 I realized the need for a storage facility for our community, so I built my first phase of 32 units. Six years later I added another building bringing my total units to 72.
A 5 x 10 unit is about the same size as a small walk-in closet.
You can fit the usual furnishings of a medium sized bedroom in here.
A 10 x 10 unit is about the same size as half a one car garage.
You can fit the usual furnishings of a family room, or two average bedrooms.
A 10 x 20 unit is about the same size as a one car garage.
You can fit the usual furnishings of a two bedroom house or apartment, including oversized items like refrigerator, couch, washer & dryer set or dining room set.
A 12 x 30 unit is about the same size as a one and a half car garage.
You can fit the usual furnishings of a 3-5 bedroom house, including oversized items like refrigerator, couchs, washer & dryer set, entertainment center or dining room set.

A NOTE ABOUT SECURITY
Security is always a concern of my tenants and myself. The reasons I consider to be the major attributes to the very small amount of break-ins and loss of property is as follows:
1) Very visible. The complex is totally visible from all four sides.
a. FM 3009 Frontage.
b. Concrete drive on the entire south side.
c. Schoenthal Rd complete rear of the property.
d. On the north property line the Public works department of City of Garden Ridge has a drive that gives access to Law enforcement and all City Employees. This drive goes from FM 3009 to Schoenthal Rd.
e. Law enforcement and public can view from all four sides.
2) The fact that I don’t allow any small businesses to operate out of any unit. There is no loitering.
3) Card Entry. Limits entry by card holders only. Not a pass combination that can be given out to multiple people.
